many small artists i grow to love are incredibly sparse for
information online; the INFODUMP post series is my attempt to
host as much of my personal research regarding these artists as i
can. these posts are intended to be returned to and updated!
i try to add sources where i can (using the "[src]" format for readability's sake), but please understand that this is fan-created work and it is not official in any capacity. thanks!
i try to add sources where i can (using the "[src]" format for readability's sake), but please understand that this is fan-created work and it is not official in any capacity. thanks!
a large amount of the information seen throughout this post is sourced
from the band's own (and very comprehensive) website dartzisgood.com, so if a piece of information is missing a source, assume it comes from
there. i would highly recommend checking it out!
also, this band is not to be confused with DARTZ (new zealand punk band) or The Dartz (russian folk group).

Dartz! (originally formed as Darts![src]) were a math pop/dance punk band from Middlesbrough, England formed in early 2005 by William K. J. Anderson, Henry J. Carden, and Philip J. Maughan (later joined by a fourth member, Nico Taylor, in late 2008[src]). The group released a collection of demos, EPs, and singles as well as two full-length studio albums before announcing their breakup on July 2nd, 2009[src] and officially disbanding following their final performance on September 25th, 2009.[src]

Woo!
The animals are deafening me
What do the children do for fun?
The whim of a science man
And the day they destroyed the sun
A simple hypothetical, we've got a job to do
Calculated diagrams and plans you can't disprove
A simple hypothetical, we've got a job to do
Logically we cannot fail with elements and test tubes
A complex hypothetical, we've got a job to do
Innovate and ascertain and theory will make it truth
Lab coats, check
Oxygen, check check
Photographs, check
We've got a job to do
This formula
X plus Y plus X plus all of my time
This could be ours, hold your head up high
'Cause we'll be remembered as inspired
I think I've made an error here, the figures don't align
Huge miscalculations on nobody's behalf but mine
My loyal apprentice,
Get out right now
This formula
X plus Y plus X plus all of my time
I think I was wrong, hold your head up high
'Cause we'll be remembered for this crime
We'll be remembered for this crime
We'll be remembered for this crime

Two strong steps on the pavement and we're on our way
Made an acquaintance tonight I won't forget or ever meet again, he said:
"There much be someone here who is not afraid"
Come now, planes fall out of the sky when it rains
Be calm, take a moment to relax
Today we'll all admire an interesting fact:
Reporters cry once, twice, again!
We'll ignore it all and get away without them
Be calm, take a moment to relax
Today we'll all admire an interesting fact:
Reporters cry once, twice, again!
We'll ignore it all and get away without them
But I'm quite simply useless without my medicine
I'm worried about how tall the buildings are and who built them
I can see it in their faces, I can see it in their stares
Let's save our sanity even if we can't save theirs
Be calm, take a moment to relax
Today we'll all admire an interesting fact:
Reporters cry once, twice, again!
We'll ignore it all and get away without them
Be calm, take a moment to relax
Today we'll all admire an interesting fact:
Reporters cry once, twice, again!
We'll ignore it all and get away without them
We'll meet in the city underneath a neon sign
That calls the fleeing forward and just into the light, yeah
We'll meet in the city where nobody will see
