INFODUMP - Curdle Motif

 many small artists i grow to love are incredibly sparse for information online; the INFODUMP post series is my attempt to host as much of my personal research regarding these artists as i can. these posts are intended to be returned to and updated!
i try to add sources where i can (using the "[src]" format for readability's sake), but please understand that this is fan-created work and it is not official in any capacity. thanks!

Curdle Motif were an indie folk duo from Riverside, California formed in 2008 by vocalist/guitarist Hassan Sauoli and cellist Rosie Danelski. Often joined by percussionist Kevin Bothwell (all three of whom previously played together in the high school band Hot Toast), the duo would release two EPs before silently disappearing around the later half of 2010. The duo experienced a minor resurgence in popularity beginning around 2020 after a video of them performing Neutral Milk Hotel's "Holland, 1945" in 2009 was picked up by YouTube's algorithm and began making the rounds online.
